Day 18: run run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbreadman

#100happydays  day 18. Everyone up late this morning so had to drop S off first and run across town with running buggy to get B in to nursery. I'm happy that we made it and got some exercise. This is me making it back to the car with hair, makeup and heels intact. Love my Bob stroller, it's been on so many adventures.

#100happydays  day 15. Another lovely day. Lunch at a friend's house, feeling very welcome with their family. This is Bea helping daddy in the garden.

Day 14: Park life

#100happydays  day 14. Beautiful day at the park. Glad we have enough energy to chase after these crazy monkeys. We went to the circus this afternoon as well which was awesome but the kids were pretty difficult to control. Still, a fun and busy day.

Day 13: expressing creativity at work

One of my other posts was about enjoying my job and feeling I am making a difference. This last week has been tough with work and I have had to be in at the weekend as well. Today I am celebrating planning ahead to things I would like to do with my job role. I am happy to have the freedom to decide things to work on and to have the space in which to do them. I frequently complain about how science doesn't pay compared to the level of education and technical skill needed but at the end of the day I can spend time discussing cool science and setting up experiments in the lab. Nice to be able to look ahead for once as well and realise I do have lots of ideas. These are my fluorescently dyed cells which I think are pretty cool. The last one is a single mammalian cell in a well which will grow to form a cell population which can be scaled up to produce a therapeutic antibody for use in patients.

Day 12: Slimming world success

Actually this is from last week but I've still kept it off and am on the downward trend. Thanks to Slimming World, I am 2 stone (28lbs) lighter than I was at the beginning of June. I have another 12 weeks to Christmas and just bought my 12 week countdown last night. I'm grateful to a lovely group of people who are on the same journey, particularly the amazing Pauline.
